Day #2 in the life of an Arctic explorer

Aka me. Again.

Repeat Day #1's activities, with the following amendments:

-32, but windchill is only at -45 instead of -48.

Wear two toques instead of one, and also put inadequately-sized hood of jacket up & fasten in front of mouth, leaving only the eyes, eyebrows and the tops of the cheeks exposed. Mm, toasty warm.

Omit wearing fleece vest, experience overheating to a far lesser degree; experience no hand overheating.

Discover today is windier than yesterday and thank the Lord for suggesting the extra head wrappings.

Put mascara on after getting to work to avoid mascara dots, and appreciate it due to the higher frequency of eyelashes freezing together when blinking due to the higher degree of eye-watering that happens as a result of the higher amount of wind blowing in face. Dream of goggles.... and become surprisingly apt at directly breaths upwards in order to thaw eyelashes out so they actually separate.

Get home at 4:00 and plug car in in anticipation of a trip to the grocery store. Also to test whether or not the car will still start...

Experience some twinge of jealousy at James' comment, while deciding it would be awful to have no interior heating in the house.

PLUG your car in? Is it a hybrid?
